Cloud Place is at the heart of the Cloud Foundation’s philanthropic model. Cloud Place houses professional studio, media, and performing arts spaces for teens with an emphasis on flexibility and innovation. The 3rd floor performance space seats 100 audience members, and includes an overhead LCD projector, stage lighting, and a sound system as well as a Marley floor, ballet bar, and mirrors for dancers. The 4th floor visual art studio has been used for classes from pinhole photography, to mural design, to silkscreen, to figure drawing, while the media room is equipped with 6 Macintosh computers with a range of digital design and imaging software. Through Cloud Place, the Cloud Foundation works with youth arts and performance organizations to build a strong, interconnected youth arts community, encourage new interactions among diverse art programs, and to cultivate new audiences and advocates.
