operates the Danielsen Institute Clinic, a mental health clinic with special concerns for the religious dimensions of personality, conducts clinical training programs that emphasize the interface between psychotherapies and religion, supports the Counseling Psychology and Religion Doctoral Program and pastoral care programs in the Boston University School of Theology and Division of Religious and Theological Studies, and sponsers research through the Center for the Study of Religion and Psychology at the Danielsen Institute.

Nobel Prize winning author Elie Wiesel has been teaching at BU for many years. This center is affiliated with the Department of Religion and the College of Arts and Sciences.
