The Institute was founded in 1975 to promote Wushu as a sport, health exercise and poerforming art. It continues to support the publication of instructional materials.

With franchises found throughout the country, the Fred Astaire dance studio, co-founded by Mr. Astaire himself in 1947, offers a wide variety of dance classes for the beginner to twinkletoes himself. This studio offers ballroom to country western to salsa to nightclub dancing - for all ages and abilities through private, group, and practice lessons.
