| Everyone knows a place like Emilio's from their neighborhood or home town. Classic pizza/grill spot: high counter with a bunch of guys behind it hollering out "who's next?", a few tables inside, but really just a place you go for take-out or delivery. All the staples you would expect: pizza, calzones, salads, burgers, dinner platters, basic pastas, fries/rings, soda/water/beverages in a self service cooler, and racks of chips. Emilio's is that place for this part of the South End: solid basic food served quick and without any pretense. | |

| Need Red Sox parking? Queensberry Street Parking Garage is practically perfect. 3 blocks south of [Fenway Park] and therefore out of the main traffic flow, it has 2 levels, both covered, and no blocking. When leaving, simply drive down Queensberry Street and cut right through the Fens to get away from the post-game crowd. | |

| Located just outside South Braintree Square, Viola's is a great addition to the Braintree dining scene. Located in an old KFC that formerly housed Cafe 1209 (a Korean/French fusion experiment), Viola delivers solid Italian food in generous portions at reasonable prices in a small intimate setting. We had the Caprese salad which comes with a nice twist: a plum tomato hollowed out and filled with mozzarella and some prosciutto. Lobster ravioli was sweet and tangy with nice pieces of lobster throughout, and the veal brachiolettini with mushrooms was top-notch. Beer and wine only. Recommended. | |

| Well worth seeking out. Mexican specialties: tacos, quesadillas and burritos are the main draw. However do not overlook the Salvadoran food: the tamales are great, as are the pupusas (Salvadoran meat or cheese filled pancakes, served with slaw). Quick, easy, fast and good. Exactly what a taqueria should be! | |

| Double GGs is a solid sub shop, covering all the basics you would expect. The old, dated, and cramped storefront has been demolished and a brand new building is there now. Food remains the same solid quality at a decent price. Menu has expanded to cover pizza and calzones now. | |

| Jamie' s a casual family-style restaurant on the Braintree/Weymouth line. Attractive place with wood tables and chairs, a fireplace and contemporary pictures on the walls. Solid bar/pub/restaurant fare: BBQ ribs, steak, beef, turkey, chicken, and seafood entrées. Reasonable price, solid food. | |

| Lovely shop in Quincy Center. Perfect for a gift purchase or great seasonal items - Halloween, XMAS, St. Patrick's, Easter decor, candles, jewelry, etc. One of the few places to find neat regional items like high quality mugs, signs, and other decor items for the towns along the South Shore. Formerly Abigail's Crossing, but under new ownership for about 9 months. | |
